As the preparations advance for the XXXV. IULTCS World Congress to be held June 25-28, 2019 in Dresden, Germany, VGCT, the German equivalent to IULTCS and host of the upcoming congress is extremely pleased to announce the first Business Partners to commit to the congress – a trio of GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE: TFL Ledertechnik AG, Basel, Switzerland, CICB / Brazilian Leather Project, Brasília, Brazil and Shimadzu Corporation, Kyoto, Japan, Shimadzu Germany Branch

TFL, well-known in the industry, is a globally operating company producing specialty chemicals for the leather and related industries. TFL offers innovative products and solutions to tanneries, leather processing companies and coaters, always striving to introduce fresh ideas to the market. Its business activities comprise the development, production and marketing of specialty chemicals such as tanning agents and dyestuffs, which enable customers, mainly tanneries, to create an attractive end article such as leather automotive interior.

The Brazilian Leather project promotes the image of the Brazilian leather commercially and institutionally within a varied strategic public all over the world. Through planned actions, the national tannery industry has been able to expand market – with exports to almost a hundred nations -, grown in numbers and technologically developed with positive concept in the most demanding global markets, in addition to contributing to the economy of the country. A leather industry with a high level of sustainability and creativity. Brazil boats the world’s largest commercial cattle stock.

The project is coordinated by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

CICB has been working as the official representative body of all Brazilian tanners for 60 years, defending and promoting the sector in the domestic and international markets. The entity pursues the sustainable growth of the segment, while maintaining high standards of professional qualification, health and safety and technological improvement.

José Fernando Bello, executive president at CICB: “As it is our statutory mission to enhance the advancement  of the Brazilian leather industry, Dresden 2019 will be an excellent opportunity to meet and network with the European leather industry and their customers such as the automotive and upholstery industry, luxury brands and retailers in order to promote the Brazilian leather industry.”
