Ph.D. in Chemistry at Technische Universitat Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany in 2001. Master´s in Materials Engineering at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil in 1996. Graduation in Chemical Enginnering at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil in 1984.

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

CURRENTLY:

Professor at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, since 1989.

Head of the Laboratory for Leather and Environmental Studies (LACOURO).

Has been Coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Course, Coordinator of the Posgraduation Program on Chemical Engineering and Coordinator of the Research Committee of the Engineering School.

Coordinator of many research projects.

Professor of the Subjects Leather Technology and Environmental Engineering. Research areas: leather technology, biotechnology, atmospheric pollution, solid waste management, cleaner technology, development of chemical products, wastewater treatment, collagen.

Academic Advisor of undergraduated, Masters, PhD, Pos-doctors students and others technical researchers.

　

PREVIOUSLY EXPERIENCES:

Trainee in Chemical Companies in 1995 (Röhm, BASF, Stockhausen, Ciba- Geigy).

Production Manager of a Tannery for leather wet finishing and finishing: Reichert Calçados Ltda, Brazil, 1985 - 1989.

Trainee for quality control laboratory: Tanac S.A, Brazil, 1985.
