Dr Patricia Casey

PhD in Chemical Sciences, Industrial Chemistry orientation, graduated from the Faculty of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences of the National University of Buenos Aires.
From 1975 to 1997 served as Deputy Head of Laboratory and Production Manager of companies suppliers of the Leather ( BASF) and Footwear industry.
Lead Auditor in Environmental Management (certificate issued by TÜV -Tar) and specialist in the implementation of Quality Management Systems oriented to the Automotive Industry.
For 20 years she has been Quality Assurance Manager at Curtiembres Fonseca S. A. and has been responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Quality, Environmental and Energy Management Systems in that company.
Active member of the AAQTIC since 1976, she served as Vice President and President of the Institution for two consecutive periods and currently continues to be a member of the Board of Directors.
She was representative of the South of Latin American countries at the IULTCS Executive Committee and presently is the representative for Argentina and Uruguay.
In 2011, she was elected Vice President of IULTCS, for the period 2012-2013 and President of IULTCS (International Union of Leather Technicians and Chemists Societies) during the 2014-2015.
She integrates the committees that issue the physical, chemical and environmental testing standards of IULTCS.
She has made several publications in technical journals related to the Leather Industry, presented research papers in Argentine, Latin American and International leather Congresses and meetings.
She gave courses and talks related to the Leather Industry in AAQTIC, Universities, Chambers and other organizations related to the sector.
