IULTCS meets Freiberg Leather Days
As common to any IULTCS World Congress held in the past the hosting national association links its annual member meeting to the Congress. In 2012 the host, VGCT, and its co-organizer FILK (Freiberg Leather Institute), started to develop a new meeting place for its members and its European neighbors. By now the FREIBERG LEATHER DAYS have become a well-established platform for the European tanning and leather industry drawing yearly well over 200 participants from all over the continent.
Participants will include representatives of:
Chemical industry and suppliers of leather auxiliaries
Engineering and tool manufacture
Automation and sensor technology
Testing and analysis technology
Applying industries: automotive, upholstery, apparel and shoes
Global brands and retail
Research and development
Professional education and training
In alternating years the 2-day conference takes place in Freiberg, where both organizers are located, and away. With its 6th edition in 2017 the conference has moved outside Germany to the Netherlands getting engaged the Dutch sister-association, NVLST, thus strengthening the bonds and further enhancing the cooperation between European associations. A further internationalization of the conference is expected presenting an ideal medium to promote the 2019 IULTCS congress among the European leather and tanning industry.
In combining 2019 IULTCS congress with the Freiberg Leather Days more value is added to both groups of participants. Leather scientists and researchers from all around the globe will meet a strong European tanning and leather industry including their suppliers and customers.
