Dresden is considered a city of art and culture, but it is also an important technology hub.
The historic centre of the city on the River Elbe is supposed to be one of the most beautiful in whole of Germany.
Discover the city's most important sights by bus with an insightful, knowledgeable guide who will show you the famous Semper Opera House, Royal Palace, Zwinger Palace and the Royal Church.
Get to know Dresden's Old Town on a short guided walking tour and penetrate the city's Baroque heart to the re-build Frauenkirche and climb up Brühl's Terrace from the typical “Canaletto View Silhouette” – which is also called the “Balcony of Europe”.
The following bus tour will take you along the River Elbe with a great view of the three famous Elbe castles and the famous bridge “Blue Wonder”.

After this overview of history, art and culture you will experience the modern Dresden by visiting the VW Transparent Factory. Established by Volkswagen in 2001, “Die Gläserne Manufaktur” is a unique assembly and exhibition centre which is situated harmoniously between the Grand Garden Park and the Botanical Garden of the Dresden Technical University. The factory is an example for a balanced industrial architectural building inside a city and was originally build to manufacture the VW premium model “Phaeton”. Since 2017 the new e-Golf has been produced there, and a guided tour gives you a fascinating, close-up view of how the cars are manufactured. The following exhibition “Electromobility and Digitalisation” is organized into five themed areas and introduces visitors to new ideas for the future of driving.

The tour starts and ends at the International Congress Center Dresden.
