Dr Haiko Schulz

Dr Haiko Schulz studied chemistry at the Technical University of Dresden. Following his doctor diploma in the field “NMR of solids and liquids for organic phosphor-sulfur compounds” in 1993, he held a position as scientific assistant at the Institute of Doping Analysis and Sports Biochemistry Dresden and he attended postgraduate studies in “toxicology and environment protection”.

 

Since 1995 Dr Haiko Schulz is scientist at Forschungsinstitut für Leder und Kunststoffbahnen (FILK), Freiberg.

In 2001 he became the head of the department of Material Characterization and the affiliated Accredited Test Laboratory of the FILK.

 

His current fields of research and testing activities are:

ú   Physical tests of leather and plastic sheeting

ú   Chemical analytics and tests of organic materials

ú   Emissions of interior materials

 

Dr Haiko Schulz is member in national and international standardisation committees for physical and chemical testing of leather as well as plastic sheeting.

Further he is engaged in working groups and commissions for the development and the standardisation of test methods and the harmonisation of technical specifications of materials.
